Canning Kitchen Party

Bruce Spicer Park, Main Street , Canning, NS B0P 1H0

Music In Communities Presents The Fourth Annual Canning Kitchen Party!

Celebrate all that the Village of Canning has to offer, and the great talent that lives in our area, with this weekly outdoor concert in the gazebo at Bruce Spicer Park. Saturday afternoons from 1 - 3, followed by a jam session hosted by Tyler McDonald and Freya Milliken. Free or by donation, all welcome!

This week's lineup (subject to change and possible surprise guests):

July 9 Anne Marie Williot + High Strung String Band

Anne-Marie Williot is a trilingual multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter hailing from rural Quebec, and now based in Winnipeg. Her song-writing brings to light hidden dream territories which murmur in the subterranean wells of our lives. A honed poet and performer, she writes and sings in a deliciously melodic blend of old and new sounds, often evocative of candle-lit cafes.

The High Strung String Band is a group of enthusiastic ukulele players, ranging from beginner to intermediate, and meet weekly at the Woodville Community Hall to play music and have some fun with the direction of Sarah McInnis. This group of 60+ in age proves you're never too old to learn something new!
