Music In Communities Presents The Fourth Annual Canning Kitchen Party!

Celebrate all that the Village of Canning has to offer, and the great talent that lives in our area, with this weekly outdoor concert in the gazebo at Bruce Spicer Park. Saturday afternoons from 1 - 3, followed by a jam session hosted by Tyler McDonald and Freya Milliken. Free or by donation, all welcome!

July 23 - Sarah McInnis | Kentville Ukes |Black Rock Buoys

At the heart of her work, Sarah is a songwriter, co-creator, and believes in the profound power of storytelling for healing. In April 2021 Sarah began The Legacy Song Project, writing original songs for folks at the end-of-life, and for folks who have lost loved ones. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Sarah is trained in guitar, fiddle, piano, ukulele, and voice, and is a talented songwriter who has been writing original music since the age of 15.

The Black Rock Buoys is an Annapolis Valley Ukulele based cover band that performs Classic Rock, Folk, Celtic and Blues songs. The band is comprised of Trefor Reynoldson (uke & vocals), Brian Van Rooyen (uke & vocals),Derek Vernest (uke, harmonica and vocals), Jeff Smith (guitar, banjo and vocals) and Andrew Gebhardt (percussion).
