Nadine and Sammy return to Kingsport to cook up another fantastic Cajun Gumbo supper and tunes. Supper at 6pm, music at 7. They cook a mean gumbo, and we will provide them with the best, extremely-local ingredients from Longspell Farm, to prepare this supper. There will not be a vegetarian option. Nadine Landry and Sammy Lind are passionate about traditional fiddle music that has been passed on for generations, classics of the south west Louisiana Cajun dance halls and songs that could have filled a 50s honky tonk jukebox. Alternating between fiddle, banjo, guitar and accordion, they play true to the roots of American music with energy and respect. They live in Eastern Quebec and tour all over the world as a duo or with their band Foghorn Stringband.
This event is part of a weekend of Traditional Music, Workshops, a Square Dance, and more! Nadine & Sammy will be offering a workshop on Cajun music, including fiddle, guitar and dancing, on Saturday morning at 10am.
