The McMIllan's Camp Boys & Amy Lou Keeler

Ross Creek Annex , 2182 Sheffield Rd. , Canning

We're very excited to hear Amy Lou Keeler (Mama's Broke) and the McMillan's Camp Boys at the Annex in Canning!

Hailing from the Rocky Mountains of western Canada, The McMillan’s Camp Boys now call Nova Scotia home. Their wide repertoire of traditional country, bluegrass, and old-time has been captivating audiences around the Maritimes and beyond. Their 2023 debut self-titled album was released on Dartmouth’s Big Turnip Records.

Amy Lou Keeler (vocals, guitar, banjo, fiddlesticks), often heard as part of the duo Mama's Broke, will be performing solo. She has a sound borne from a traditional template that encompasses bluegrass, mountain music, and Eastern European designs, still leaving room for a decidedly individual approach. Ralph Stanley is a huge influence, along with a background playing in punk and metal bands.
