Two outstanding instrumentalists, Adrianna Ciccone (fiddle) and Ellen Gibling (harp) come together to share music from their newly released fiddle and harp Christmas album The Pear Tree. They'll be playing carol melodies new and old, as well as original and traditional tunes in lively festive style. Share a cozy December evening with us at the Ross Creek Annex. There will be a bar for this event, with beer, wine, cider and non-alcoholic drinks, by cash or card. Under 19 are permitted. Please have ID on hand if purchasing drinks.
Adrianna Ciccone & Ellen Gibling are based in Kjipuktuk/Halifax, where they both make their home in the city's north end. Individually, they are established traditional musicians, having taught and performed at camps and festivals across the country, studied with many renowned musicians, and recorded acclaimed solo albums. Since first meeting in 2020, they have collaborated frequently - as concert artists, market buskers, pub bandmates, event organizers, educators, and as part of the local community of traditional music. The Pear Tree is their first recording project together.
